The governor spoke yesterday about the latest report from the National Assessment of Educational Progress. This week's report shows that Virginia's fourth and eighth-grade test scores in 2024 were close to the national average. Youngkin said the scores were expected and don't reflect the progress shown on last year's SOL tests. He also said that education standards enacted by his administration are working and that he hopes to see further improvement on this year's tests.
