(Palm Coast, FL) -- A Richmond-area eleven-year-old will spend time in juvenile detention in Florida in connection to a string of threats directed at Central Florida schools.
Scott Kimbler reports..Preview: The boy was sentenced after he pleaded no contest to dozens of swatting threats against at least five campuses on Florida's Atlantic Coast just north of Daytona Beach back in May. He will remain in detention until he is placed in a high-risk program for roughly a year. After completing the program, the child will be sent back to Virginia under supervised release. As part of his sentencing, the boy will have to pay the Flagler County Sheriff's Office more than 40-thousand dollars for the amount of time deputies had to spend investigating the threats.
