22 year old, Raheem Lamont Cherry of Waverly set to spend the next 6 decades behind bars. The sentencing took place after Cherry was convicted in April 2024 following a weeklong jury trial. Mrs. Miles, a New York resident, was found stabbed to death in a wooded area in Chesapeake in May 2021. Cherry's fingerprints were found in her truck, leading to his arrest and conviction on charges of first-degree murder, robbery, abduction, and concealment of a deceased person.
