Desmond Johnson, the Third was shot in the neck that day last year outside the Altria Theater. He survived, but two others were killed in the shooting. Johnson has spent the last year re-learning how to walk and write, and he still struggles with PTSD. His lawyers said yesterday they're pursuing a lawsuit against the city and the school board if a settlement can't be reached. One lawyer says the city is directly responsible for the events that led to the shooting, and it was reckless and grossly negligent.
