(Suffolk, VA) -- A solar farm in one part of Virginia is upsetting the neighbors.

Neighbor Nick Creasy says the noise is driving him nuts. He's referring to a high-pitched humming sound coming from a solar farm located off White Marsh Road in Suffolk. The Stratford Solar Project, by developer Pinegate Renewables, claims to be trying to address the issue after it was first reported by WTKR News 3 earlier this year. Suffolk's Director of Planning and Community Engagement Kevin Wyne says they believe the noise is coming from inverters on the perimeter of the site, which is something they will avoid doing in the nine other solar farm projects city council approved.
