Stage workers that are members of the Local 87 branch of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) have reached an agreement with their management company, ASM Global. The workers were asking for better wages and benefits. The union claimed that Richmond was one of the lowest paying markets for stagehands in the region. The potential strike would have impacted three major venues including Richmond’s Altria Theater, Dominion Energy Center, and the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville. The union represents more than 168-thousand workers in the entertainment industry, and for now, the show will go on. I'm RR.
