The Campbell County Sheriff's Office says the 16-year-old boy called 911 on Sunday to report the shooting. Witnesses said the boy shot his stepfather with a small caliber rifle and walked out of the house after the rifle was taken away. Investigators say there was no argument or confrontation before the shooting. The boy faces several charges, including attempted murder and malicious wounding.
