>>Virginia Restaurant Getting Praise for Respecting Employees Outside Life
(Norfolk, VA) -- A Hampton roads restaurant chain is standing behind its decision to close its doors during business hours for a staff meeting. Rocio Rivera has details.Preview: Someone of Facebook left a comment complaining about the Stockpot being closed during a time it's normally open. COO of Stockpot, Amber Kostka, tells WAVY the closure was due to a very needed staff meeting. She responded her staff also have lives, families, and obligations outside of work, and she and her company do their best to respect that. Someone posted the initial comment and the restaurant's reply on reddit, and it's getting a lot of praise for standing up for retaurant industry workers. Kostka went on to say the loss of revenue during the closure was a small monetary value in order to maintain the respect of the restaurant's employees. I'm RR.
