Those charging include conspiracy to commit wire and bank fraud related to fraudulent Paycheck Protection Program loan applications. Sheila Bynum-Colemanand her husband
allegedly obtained over $225-thousand dollars in proceeds from financial institutions. WTVR reports that they had previously claimed to have partnered with the city of Petersburg for an affordable housing project, which the mayor publically denied. Bynum-Coleman, who ran for the House of Delegates in 2019, is scheduled to begin trial on September 15.
