A two-story house will be built by students as Roanoke College and Habitat for Humanity join to break ground on the 19th annual R-House building. Students will work in shifts as the first phase of construction takes place on campus in the school's parking lot. Once the home is moved to its permanent location, students will switch to full day Saturday shifts to finish the structure. WFXR reports the school and habitat officials plan to keep the students involved in the process all the way up to dedication day in December.
