Officials say 58 year old Jeanette Staton was arrested after police found 78 year old Arvel Shrewsbury dead in his home on March 10th. The Chatham Star Tribune reports Danville General District Court Judge Greg Haymore ordered restoration services for the woman to improve her competency for trial. The woman allegedly confessed to her son and police about the incident, stating that 8 days prior she had pushed the victim down the basement stairs and hit him with a piece of wood before locking him in the basement while he was screaming.
