Former Republican Delegate Matt Fariss entered his plea last week in Campbell County. Fariss was arrested in March after a bag of meth was found during a traffic stop. A hunting rifle was also found in his vehicle, leading to a charge of having a firearm while possessing an illegal drug. The judge overseeing the case suspended the former lawmaker's three-year sentence, allowing him to be released after spending nearly three weeks in jail.
