The Virginia Department of Health issued the orders on Tuesday for Ocean View beaches in Norfolk. There are also advisories in place for the portion of Hampton's Buckroe Beach near the James T. Wilson Fishing Pier, as well as Hilton Park Beach and Anderson Park Beach in Newport News. Officials found high levels of bacteria in the local waterways earlier this week, which they believe is tied to recent rainfall. Signs have been placed around the areas to alert swimmers of the potential dangers and illnesses. More water testing is scheduled this week with bacteria levels expected to drop before Fourth of July.
