A serious bacterial infection is spreading rapidly across Virginia. The health department is reporting more than double the amount of cases of the Invasive Group A streptococcus compared to 2022. Practicing good hygiene like hand washing and early treatment are ways to prevent the disease from becoming worse.
A teenager is facing charges for allegedly making a bomb threat at school in Accomack County. An Accomack County Sheriff's representative says it happened Friday at Nandua High School. The school was evacuated and it turned out to be a hoax. The boy is being held without bond at the Norfolk Detention Center.
