A recount is being requested in the race for a seat on the Norfolk City Council. Carlos Clanton claimed victory in the race for the Superward Seven seat after Friday's vote count. Clanton's total is 92 votes ahead of Phillip Hawkins, who requested the recount. To request a recount at the city's expense, the margin has to be less than zero-point-five-percent. Hawkins trails Clanton by zero-point-two-five percentage points. Clanton says he's "confident that the election results will stand."  
 
A police chase during the summer is turning into a prison sentence for a 39-year-old man. Donyae Lee Lewis pleaded guilty this week on felony charges of eluding police and being in possession of a firearm. Police say they were trying to pull Lewis over for speeding on July 5th. Lewis, who already had a felony conviction, threw the firearm out the window during the chase. Lewis was sentenced to 18 months in prison, plus three years of probation.  
 
A family-owned engineering and manufacturing company will invest millions to expand its operations in Chesterfield County. Super Radiator Coils plans to spend $22 million dollars to add about 80-thousand square feet to its existing Richmond facility and upgrade machinery. 160 new positions will be created by the company's expansion. The company has been in Virginia for four decades.
