TSA found the loaded nine-millimeter gun as a bag went through the security checkpoint Sunday and WRIC reports that a Newport News man was cited. According to TSA, this is the twenty-fourth gun found at Richmond International Airport this year and that ties the number found in 2022. Passengers may only travel with firearms in their checked luggage and must follow other regulations as well. The penalty for carrying a gun onto a plane could be as high as 15-thousand dollars.
