The state of Virginia is getting nearly 450-thousand dollars to test tap water at schools and childcare facilities. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Biden Administration made the announcement on Thursday as part of a federal lead and reduction grant program. The money will pay for training, testing, and solutions to reduce lead in water systems. The White House says lead can severely harm mental and physical development in children... and can cause increased health issues among adults. The EPA says more than 55 states and territories will receive a portion of the 26-million dollars offered through the initiative.
