The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office say 35-year-old Candyce Carter and 34-year-old Kristopher Carter are facing charges after "suspected narcotics" were found in Candyce's second grade classroom at Spotswood Elementary School. WRIC reports that a school resource officer said she appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Kristopher was found in a vehicle in the parking lot of the school also under the influence of drugs and there was a toddler in the car with him. He is facing charges of felony child endangerment and neglect and was taken to Rappahannock Regional Jail on five-thousand dollars bond. Candyce Carter was charged with drug possession and felony child endangerment and neglect and is behind bars without bond.
