The Virginia Department of Transportation is warning E-Z Pass users about another text-based toll scam. A social media post yesterday urged drivers to ignore any texts saying they owe tolls and should click on a link provided in the message. VDOT and the Virginia DMV say they do not send text messages about toll bills to their customers. A similar warning was issued last August when another text-based toll scam was widely reported.
