After spending hours cooking in the kitchen making those annual favorites, many look forward to making plates for days to come. But Health experts warn....  
 
*Clocking ticking*  
 
The clock is ticking how long they can keep. According to the USDA, assuming dishes were refrigerated within 2 hours of serving best holds up 3 to 4 days. Placed in the freezer that time extends to two to six months. Health experts tell CNBC News that its best to avoid reheating leftovers more than once to reduce foodborne illness risk.
