The governor announced his proposal yesterday at a restaurant in Richmond. Youngkin says ending taxes on tips would help more than 250-thousand service workers in the state. He believes it could return around 70-million dollars to the pockets of restaurant servers, hair stylists, bellhops and other service workers. The measure is one of several budget amendments the governor is expected to propose to the General Assembly tomorrow.
