Downtown Council received a $10,000 grant from the Virginia Tourism Corporation to support its 2024 Holidays in the City and Grand Illumination Parade initiatives. The funding aims to enhance the six-week holiday season, which kicked off in November. President & CEO of Downtown Norfolk Council, Mary Miller tells 10 On Your Side these events are important in attracting visitors and boosting the local economy. The grant will help showcase Downtown Norfolk as a premier holiday destination with various events, dining options, and shopping experiences.
