A developer is seeking to replace two office buildings in Herndon with 240 townhomes and 18 multifamily units on 12 acres of land near the Dulles Technology Drive and Sunrise Valley Drive intersection. Mandrake Capital Partners says the property will need to be rezoned to allow the residential space and will remove the existing, underperforming office spaces. The proposal includes urban park spaces, pedestrian connectivity, and new street connections to enhance the community, according to FFX Now dot com. The project has not been officially accepted for review by Fairfax County planners.
