Virginia is getting a grant from the Justice Department to help fight human trafficking. Attorney General Jason Miyares announced the one-point-two-nine-million-dollar grant from the Office of Victims of Crime yesterday. Miyares said the grant will be used for research, training, testing and other types of support for programs to reduce child and youth labor and sex trafficking. January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month.
