Executive Director Billy Haun says the VHSL plans to closely examine the executive order issued by President Trump earlier this week. The order promises to withhold federal funding from organizations that allow transgender athletes to play on women's and girl's teams. The VHSL has allowed transgender participation in sports since 2014. Haun made it clear that the VHSL is simply evaluating the impact of the federal order and will do whatever is required by law.
