(Richmond, VA) -- Virginia's top Republican lawmakers are supporting a pair of bills designed to prevent transgender participation in school sports. Richard Stelling reports.Preview: Voicer Script:
Bills introduced in the House and Senate would require that participation in boy's or girl's sports be limited to a student's biological sex at birth. The bills would expressly prohibit students who were born male from competing in girl's sports. The governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general all expressed support for the bills yesterday, saying they want to protect women from unfair competition in their chosen sports.
