A U.S. District Court judge in Washington, D.C. agreed to delay the trial of Jeffrey McKellop of Fisherville yesterday. The Augusta County man has been in federal custody for more than three years but has had his trial delayed several times after conflicts with his attorneys. McKellop has made six requests to switch lawyers since his arrest. He's accused of assaulting multiple police officers during the January 6th riot, at one point allegedly using a flag pole to beat an officer before throwing it like a spear.
