(Richmond, VA) -- Virginia's political leaders are giving their opinions on yesterday's guilty verdict in the trial of former President Donald Trump. Richard Stelling has more.Preview: Voicer Script:
Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin expressed the opinion of many in the GOP, calling the trial a "politically motivated prosecution" by those out to get the former president. Youngkin also echoed Trump by saying voters will give the real verdict on November 5th. Democratic Senator Tim Kaine said the verdict shows that "no one is above the law" and added that Trump's "lack of character" finally caught up with him. Trump will be sentenced in state court in New York on July 11th, four days before the Republican National Convention.
