It's part of deal of reduced tariffs on frozen turkey, frozen duck and fresh frozen, dried and processed blueberries and cranberries. Virginia is the country's sixth largest producer of turkeys in 2023, with about 15.5 million birds being raised here. The demand for turkey in that part of the world is also growing with India's population expected to increase by about 1.7 billion by 2050. Indian officials also cite an increase in protein demand with turkey being the leanest among other poultry species with lower fat and cholesterol compared to red meat. I'm Rr.
