Neighbors say the home is flooded with overflowing trash and the owner doesn't do anything about it. The home is in the 500 block of McDowell Ave and has had an accumulation of trash for the past two years. One neighbor says the trash piles at the home attract rats and possums. She also says the rat problem is filtering onto her property. The city of Roanoke says they are pursuing legal action as multiple fines for violations to the house's owner have gone unanswered.
