The 11-year-old boy was suspended after telling the principal at St. John the Apostle School that another student brought a bullet to class. The student with the bullet was suspended, but so was the student who told on him, with the school claiming the young boy didn't immediately tell an authority figure, instead waiting two hours. WAVY-TV reports the mother's lawsuit claims the school incorrectly interpreted a section of the Student-Parent Handbook saying it is not required for students to immediately report safety concerns on campus. The mother claims her son has since faced bullying at school including physical assault. She is seeking more than 48-hundred dollars for the school's tuition payment along with additional fees.
