(Blacksburg, VA) -- While many universities across the country have cancelled graduation ceremonies due to security risks, Virginia Tech's graduation is happening as scheduled. Rocio Rivera has details.Preview: All week Virginia Tech students have been walking the stage and collecting their diplomas. And while many colleges and universities have cancelled their events due to pro-Palestinian protests, Virginia Tech students have been celebrating. University spokesperson Mark Owczarski tells WDBJ that Virginia Tech is prepared for whatever may happen at all times. Adding the safety and welfare of guests and graduates is a top priority. Over 6,000 undergraduates, more than 11-hundred graduates and 267 PH.D students will be graduating this year. Commencement for the Class of 2024 is scheduled for tomorrow and will continue in Blacksburg through Saturday. I'm RR.
