The Virginia Department of Elections reported yesterday that more than four-point-three-million ballots were cast for this year's election. That equals a voter turnout of just under 68-percent. The Virginia Public Access Project has been tracking voter turnout around the state and noted that every county saw fewer voters this year than in 2020. The group found that turnout in areas that usually support Democrats was also lower than turnout in regions that support Republicans. The drop in turnout did not keep Democratic Vice President Harris from winning the state, though she won by a smaller margin than President Biden did in 2020.
