VOICER SCRIPT:

Nada Edwards, a Norfolk State University graduate, overcame a traumatic brain injury sustained in a car crash in her teens to walk across the stage at her college graduation. Nada spent 5 months in a coma, and when she awoke she had no ability to use her arms or legs. Her mother, Alice Edwards, was emotional as she recalled the journey from being told Nada might not recover to witnessing her daughter's remarkable achievement. Nada's determination and faith in God helped her defy the odds and fulfill her goal of graduating college without a walker. Her next goal is to master walking by the time she gets her post-graduate degree.
