Warner met with students and school administrators yesterday in Arlington to discuss enrollment delays caused by recent changes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Colleges were forced to delay enrollment confirmations this year as students struggled with completing the FAFSA form. Warner said yesterday the rollout was a "disaster" and criticized the federal government for being unable to deliver new technology efficiently. He also said he was pressing for more flexibility from colleges and universities to help this year's graduates get to the schools they want to attend.
