The city said yesterday 19 of 22 filters and five of eight water pumps are in service. Also, water plant production is well above the amount needed to support typical service needs for this time of year. The Department of Public Utilities is testing the water to ensure it's safe for consumption. In the meantime, a Boil Water Advisory is in effect, and the city will continue to operate water distribution sites. You can find a site near you at RVA.gov.
