Governor Youngkin warned Virginians yesterday that the storm will bring heavy rain to the state, increasing the potential for floods, power outages and other damage. The governor is extending the current state of emergency and moving resources to vulnerable areas, especially in southwest Virginia. Swift water rescue crews, Virginia National Guard troops and state-owned helicopters are being moved into place to respond to weather-related emergencies.
