(Norfolk, VA) -- The city of Norfolk has received funding for their witness protection program. Rocio Rivera reports.Preview: Norfolk city council has voted to accept $25-thousand dollars in funding for a witness protection program. It's coming from a $1 million dollar grant program from Virginia's Department of Criminal Justice Services. City leaders say the funds will go towards cameras and temporary locations for victims or people who witness murders in the state. Local residents say they're hopeful the funding will encourage more people to come forward after seeing crimes comitted. Officials also say they hope this will shed light on cases and crimes from decades ago as Virginia does not have a statue of limitation on felonies. I'm RR.
