The New River Valley Home Builders Association organized the "Build Her Dreams Bed Build" event to introduce young girls in the New River Valley area to the construction world. The event, held Saturday, aimed to provide hands-on experience with power tools and promote career awareness among girls. WFXR reports over 40 beds were built and donated to children in need, with the support of 125 volunteers and sponsors. The event hopes to empower the next generation of women in construction and foster community service and career opportunities for girls in the area.
