(Alexandria, VA) -- The job outlook in Northern Virginia could be facing impacts from the recent federal workforce cuts. Recent federal job cuts by the Trump administration and DOGE are impacting government workers AND workers in the private sector as contracts are being canceled and hiring being frozen. Northern Virginia accounts for almost half of all layoffs in the state with the most impacted regions being Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria, and Prince William counties. But experts say that probably doesn't account for federal workers that live in Virginia but work in D.C and could file unemployment claims there. I'm RR.
