Toni McLawhorn is the Business & Development Manager for the Greater Roanoke Workforce Development Board. She says young people between the ages of 16 and 24, who are not in school, can sign up for the paid opportunity to learn all the ways workers run a city. Registration for City Builders Infrastructure Boot Camp starts June 2nd. McLawhorn tells WDBJ participants will explore careers in electricity, water, construction, manufacturing, transportation, and other utilities.
