The Commanders are moving on in the NFL playoffs. Zane Gonzalez kicked a game-winning field goal off the upright as time expired to lift the Commanders to a 23-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a wild-card game at Raymond James Stadium. With the win, the Commanders advance to the divisional round and will face the top-seeded Lions in Detroit this coming Saturday. The victory is Washington's first playoff win since the 2005 season.
The Ravens are into the divisional round of the playoffs for the second straight year as they beat the rival Steelers 28-14 on Saturday in Wild Card action in Baltimore. The Ravens will face the Buffalo Bills this coming Sunday for a chance to go to the AFC Championship.
The Washington Capitals scored three times in the third period to beat the Nashville Predators 4-1 on Saturday.
