Former Baltimore Orioles infielder Rich Dauer is dead. The Orioles confirmed his death on Monday. The longtime second and third baseman spent his entire ten-year-career with the team. He was a member of the O's World Series championship team in 1983 and is a member of the franchise's Hall of Fame. Dauer won a second World Series title in 2017 as the Houston Astros first base coach. He survived an emergency brain surgery on the day of Houston's World Series celebration. Dauer was 72-years-old.

The Capitals are back in action tonight. Washington hosts the defending champion Florida Panthers at Capital One Arena. The Caps lead the Metropolitan Division at 34-11-and-7 while the Panthers lead the Atlantic Division at 32-19-and-3.
