The Nationals lost their third game in a row, falling to the Pirates 10-3 in their road series opener. Brad Lord allowed four runs in four-and-a-third innings of work to take the loss. Paul DeJong and Nasim Nunez each picked up a pair of hits for the Nats in the loss. Washington and Pittsburgh will continue their series tonight.
The Orioles are in search of their first series win of the year entering the first of four games against the Guardians tonight. Baltimore will send Charlie Morton to the mound opposite Cleveland's Logan Allen
The Capitals will take on the Islanders tonight on the road in their second-to-last game of the regular season. Washington enters the matchup having split its two meetings with New York, most recently losing 4-1 earlier this month in the game in which Alex Ovechkin set the NHL record for goals in a career.
