Five Baltimore Orioles players appeared in the American League's 5-3 win over the National League in yesterday's MLB All-Star Game. O's ace Corbin Burnes started the game. He pitched the first inning. He gave up a hit and issued a walk but did not give up a run. Right fielder Anthony Santander was the only Baltimore player to record a hit in the game. He was 1-for-2 with a run scored. Gunnar Henderson, Adley Rutschman and Jordan Westburg were hitless. The Birds resume their season on Friday at the Rangers.
Only one of the two Washington Nationals players representing the National League appeared in yesterday's All-Star Game. Shortstop CJ Abrams was 0-for-1 with a strikeout in the National League's 5-3 loss to the American League. Closer Kyle Finnegan did not make an appearance. The Nats resume their season on Friday against the Reds.
