The NBA Draft Lottery will take place tonight. The Wizards are tied for the best odds of landing the number one pick at 14 percent. Washington has not had the top pick since selecting John Wall in 2010. Duke forward Cooper Flagg is expected to be the number one selection.
The Commanders signed offensive tackle Tyre Phillips after a tryout during rookie minicamp. Phillips has played 47 games in the NFL with the Ravens and Giants, starting 28 of those games. Phillips was a third-round pick by Baltimore in 2020 out of Mississippi State.
Eric Spanos scored six goals to lead the Maryland men's lacrosse team past Air Force in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The Terrapin women's lacrosse team was eliminated from the NCAA tournament, losing to Penn 11-10 in double overtime.
