The NFL season gets going this week. The Ravens face the Kansas City Chiefs on the road on Thursday in an AFC Championship rematch. The Washington Commanders play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road on Sunday. The Commanders begin a new era with Dan Quinn as head coach and first-round pick Jayden Daniels at quarterback.
Week One of the college football season was in full swing over the weekend. Virginia Tech was upset 34-27 by Vanderbilt in overtime, Maryland smacked UConn 50-7, Virginia crushed Richmond 34-13 and Navy blew out Bucknell 49-21. In FCS action, Towson was smoked 38-20 by FBS Cincinnati and Georgetown beat Davison 46-24.
