the Baltimore Orioles lost 5-3 to the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. The O's lost two of three to the Red Sox and are 83-and-64. They trail the New York Yankees by a game-and-a-half for first in the American League East. Baltimore is off today before playing the Tigers in Detroit tomorrow.
the Washington Nationals beat the Atlanta Braves 5-1 at Nationals Park. The Nationals are 65-and-80 on the season. They start a four-game series against the Miami Marlins tonight in D.C.
the Washington Mystics beat the Chicago Sky 89-58 at Wintrust Arena. Washington has won three of its last four games and is 12-and-24. With four games left, the Mystics trail the Sky by just one game for the final WNBA playoff spot. Washington plays the Atlanta Dream on the road tomorrow. The Dream are also a game back of the Sky for the final playoff spot.
