A man from Georgia has pleaded guilty to calling in threats to two Walmart stores in Virginia. DeAndre Tamir Murphy pled guilty to calling two separate Walmart stores in Virginia Beach and demanding money. Virginia police were able to trace the calls back to Murphy in Atlanta. They say he identified himself as "Mohammed" and said he had gunmen in place ready to enter the stores if they did not meet his demands. He faces a maximum of up to 20 years in prison. He's scheduled to be sentenced in September.

State lawmakers are still working on a possible agreement to legalize so-called skills games in Virginia. The General Assembly passed a bill to legalize the popular convenience store casino-style games earlier this year. Governor Youngkin thwarted that effort by amending the bill to add greater restrictions on where the gaming machines could be located. Lawmakers were asked about the games when they returned to Richmond on Monday for a special session to pass a state budget. The current plan is to continue negotiating and hold another special session this summer if a compromise is reached.
