The notice was issued Sunday after a line broke on Arlington Street, but a new valve was installed yesterday, and line replacements will continue today. Some residents may still experience low water pressure. Water testing will continue today and tomorrow.
The Virginia branch of the AARP is issuing a warning about scammers posing as Amazon representatives. The organization says scammers are calling and then sending the victim to a fake Amazon website to renew their Prime membership. The AARP says Virginians should always verify unsolicited calls by contacting Amazon customer support before parting with their money.
